These make a great breakfast treat. If you want to speed things up, then it’s a great idea to prepare the pastry shells ahead of time.


  • 1 tsp butter for greasing
  • 2 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 bacon ‘eyes’, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 small onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 pinches black pepper
  • 3 chives
